how I spent my new year's eve
1. did taxes. filed 'em! this was great. took so long but I'm glad it's done. wish I would have done it weeks ago as I get refunds. hot damn. happy new year!
2. was the homework nazi. nolen had a self-described 'bf' (bitchfit) when I laid down the law that he had to complete his homework while sitting beside me at the table. I stuck to my guns. it wasn't pretty. but I knew that I was doing the right thing when he came out of his room 5 minutes later and settled into doing his work.
3. changed the fishes water. who ever knew that betta fish had so much personality? I love these fish!
5. we popped little poppy things that I got yesterday in Chinatown outside on the driveway after eating mediocre food from Chinda down the street
